Puppy Love in Peterborough this Wednesday

Leeds Building Society is inviting the people of Peterborough to join them for a Guide Dogs Fun Day in their branch, at 2 Queen Street, between 10.00 a.m. and 4 p.m. this Wednesday (24th April) in order to raise funds for the local Guide Dogs charity.

There will be live guide dog training in branch and small puppies undertaking their social training. Any new accounts opened on the day will result in £5 going to Guide Dogs. There will also be a cake sale, giveaways for customers such as pens and bookmarks and a guide dogs mobile van will be parked outside the branch all day.

Kayleigh Boyce, Leeds Building Society Peterborough Branch Customer Service Advisor said, “Excitement has been building in the branch for many weeks in the build up to the Guide Dogs Fun Day. I am looking forward to seeing as many people as possible on Wednesday 24th April between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. There’s a great deal of fun to be had, whether it’s live guide dog puppy training, small puppies doing their social training or a guide dogs mobile van outside the branch.

“We will also hold a cake sale to tempt customers, and hopefully none of the dogs will get to these! There will also be savings vouchers given out for any new accounts opened with us, allowing us to donate £5 to guide dogs.

“Guide Dogs are a really deserving charity, providing 240 guide dogs to the blind and partially sighted in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. I personally love dogs so it should be a really great day, and I hope our customers will have fun with the dogs and that we manage to raise a significant amount of money.”
