Leeds Building Society presents Super League leaders with over £2,000
Huddersfield Giants were presented with a cheque for £2,120 at half-time during last weekend’s game against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at the John Smith’s Stadium. The £2,120 donation relates to 1 per cent of the total balances in the Huddersfield Giants Saver account over the last twelve months.
Huddersfield Giants Chairman Ken Davy received the Giants Saver annual affinity payment from Brian Lander, Branch Manager at the Leeds Building Society Dewsbury Branch, at half time during the game (which was won 40-0 by the Giants). Ken Davy, Huddersfield Giants Chairman commented, “My thanks go to those account holders who have helped us reach this figure which will now be channelled into our youth development programme, giving exciting young talent the platform to fulfil their Super League dream.”
Brian Lander, Branch Manager at Leeds Building Society’s Dewsbury Branch commented, “The Giants Saver is the savings account that offers fans great rates and access to their money, while supporting their Club. Our partnership with Huddersfield Giants has been excellent, and it was great to be there on the same evening that the club were crowned as winners of the League Leaders Shield. I wish them luck in the forthcoming play offs.”
