Leeds Building Society supports Scottish HTB scheme

Leeds Building Society is pleased to confirm its support for the Scottish Government’s new HTB (Help to Buy) Small Developers’ Scheme, which was announced today.

“We are delighted to support Scottish homebuyers and developers through the new Small Developers’ Scheme,” said Martin Richardson, Leeds Building Society’s General Manager – Business Development.

“The Society is one of only a handful of lenders to offer Help to Buy mortgages in Scotland and we welcome today’s announcement which will support smaller housebuilders to better meet demand for new homes and enable more people to realise their property-owning aspirations.

“We joined HTB1 in England at the time of its launch in summer 2013, rapidly followed by HTB Scotland and HTB Wales. We have since seen strong demand for this type of home loan.”
