Leeds raises £2,000 for good causes

Twenty colleagues from Leeds Building Society’s Customer Contact Centre braved the harsh conditions of the Beach Warrior charity event to raise £2,000, to share between the Great North Air Ambulance and Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

They tackled the tough 10k Warrior Beach Assault course at Whitley Bay Beach, climbing, crawling and scrambling through 20 testing obstacles.

“The course this year was gruelling, but could not defeat our Leeds Building Society warriors who travelled from Leeds and the North East to take part,” said Ali Devine, Customer Contact Centre manager.

“Everyone agreed it’s a fantastic event to take part in, and we had great fun raising funds for such worthwhile causes.”

Leeds Building Society will be raising funds throughout 2016 for the charities its colleagues chose to support, including Great North and Yorkshire Air Ambulances.
