Foundation donates £1,500 to St Raphael’s Hospice

Leeds Building Society’s Charitable Foundation has made a £1,500 donation to a charity which provides palliative care.

St Raphael's Hospice has used the donation to buy a specialist mattress giving more comfort to those spending their last days in the hospice's care.

Adam Scott, Mortgage Consultant at Leeds Building Society’s Epsom branch, visited St Raphael's Hospice to meet its staff, patients and volunteers.

Adam said: “Our Charitable Foundation is delighted to make this donation and support St Raphael's Hospice.

“The Society and our members fund Leeds Building Society Charitable Foundation, and this donation fits with our commitment to doing what’s right for our members, colleagues and communities.”

Sheelagh McCarthy, Deputy Director of Fundraising at St Raphael's Hospice, said: “We can’t thank Leeds Building Society Charitable Foundation enough for the support they have shown us.

“Their generosity will allow us to continue providing our services to local people and their families over the next year.”
