Leeds Charitable Foundation donates £1,000 to support Leeds children

Leeds Building Society Charitable Foundation has made a £1,000 donation to a charity which promotes the welfare of children in inner-city Leeds.

Kidz Klub Leeds provides fun, stimulating and free activities for children, living in neighbourhoods which are among the 10% most deprived areas in England.

Kidz Klub Leeds has used the donation to buy play equipment and toys for the children to use, helping them to develop friendships and build confidence.

Jessica Keenan, Project Development Worker at Kidz Klub Leeds, said: "Leeds Building Society Charitable Foundation’s generous support is a great help to our work with children living in inner-city Leeds.

“The recent grant will ensure we are able to continue providing a fun, exciting, safe club for over 100 children each week in South Leeds.”

Luke Wellock, Leeds Building Society’s Corporate Responsibility Manager, said: “The Charitable Foundation is delighted to make this donation and support Kidz Klub Leeds.

“The Society and our members fund Leeds Building Society Charitable Foundation, and this donation fits with our commitment to doing what’s right for our members, colleagues and communities.”
