Caring Saver
Helping you, helping others
The Caring Saver is the kind of account that appeals to your head as well as your heart. It offers an attractive rate of interest whatever your investment, plus easy access to your money. Charity supporters often make donations straight out of their own pocket and that is where the Caring Saver is different, providing customers with a competitive rate of return on their savings and making a difference to people who really need it at the same time.
Leeds Building Society will donate 1% of the average balance in all Caring Saver accounts shared equally between its four charity partners; Save the Children, Help the Aged, Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Leeds Building Society Charitable Foundation. So far, Marie Curie has received over £120,000 from the account.
Paul Grundy of Save The Children said, “Leeds Building Society Contributed to our Rewrite the Future Campaign. Education saves lives. It gives children the skills they need to escape poverty, live healthily and have hope for the future. The right to go to school belongs to every child.
“However, 115 million children are still out of primary school - that's 18 per cent of the world's primary school-aged population. Save the Children research has shown that at least 43 million of these children - one in three - live in countries affected by conflict.
“Save the Children has set itself the challenge to get three million out-of-school children, living in conflict-affected countries, into school by 2010. We will also work to make sure the education they get is good quality, and improve the quality of five million more children who are already in school. The fantastic donation by the Leeds Building Society Caring Saver Account goes along way to making these goals possible!"

Your Interest... In Theirs
We're delighted to support a wide range of community and charitable projects throughout the UK. We'd like to help more people and feel that you would like to do more too. You can help further by participating in our 'Your Interest... In Theirs' scheme.
It only takes a moment to donate... but just think of the difference it could make
In addition to the donation made from the Caring Saver, the pence amount of your annual interest could also be donated to the Leeds Building Society Charitable Foundation and our other three key partner charities. The maximum amount you donate through the scheme can be only 99p per account each year, but if all our members participate, it adds up to an amount that could make a real difference! The money will be split equally between the four charities on the same date as the rest of the interest is credited to your account, so once you've agreed to donate, you don't need to do anything else.
If you do not wish to participate in the scheme, simply complete the section within the application form. If you change your mind, you can stop your donation at any time by contacting your local branch or calling us on 0113 225 7777. By agreeing to donate the pence interest from your account(s) with the Society, you are agreeing that this is a variation to the Society’s General Investment Terms & Conditions.
