Leeds Building Society’s Self Build Scheme allows you to choose from our wide range of mortgages - including fixed, variable and discounted rates - to provide real value for money... and all tailor made to suit you!

Measuring Up

  • Money is released in five stages.
  • Each stage is agreed by a qualified surveyor/valuer, and a fee of £60 will be charged.
    for each inspection. If a revaluation is required then a fee of £70 will be charged.
  • Initial funding is available to purchase land if outline planning permission, building
    regulations and a full cost schedule are provided.

Applicants must be aged 18 years and over. These mortgages are not available to self-employed builders/property developers. The end Loan to Value cannot exceed 80%. Prior to the offer we require the applicants to forward full planning permission and building regulations. As a condition of the offer we will ask for proof of the building warranty: NHBC, Zurich Municipal, Premier Guarantee, Building Life Plans.
