We’ve introduced a soft credit check for a DIP

This means that at DIP stage we will check an applicant's credit report and make an enquiry which will not leave a hard footprint and ensures the customer’s credit ratings are not affected at the early stages of application.

The DIP will be valid for 90 days. Applicants can see a search if they request their credit file, but it can’t be seen by other financial institutions and it won’t impact their ability to get further credit.

Once a full application is submitted, a full credit check will be registered, which is then visible to other financial institutions that search a borrower’s file.
