Leeds Building Society is raising funds for St George's Crypt

The event, titled 'Emmerdale Football Tournament & Family Fun Day' takes place on Sunday 3rd August at Farsley AFC. Twenty teams are competing, including sides from Emmerdale and ITV Calendar News.

The day kicks off at 12 noon on Sunday with entertainment including a bouncy castle, face painting, photo booth, games and stalls. There will be live bands playing after the final, with a special performance from the Emmerdale band.

Leeds Building Society's Armley branch manager, Chris Sykes, said: "Our team finished as runners up last year, so we are aiming to go one better this year! The team (from Leeds Building Society, Legal & General and Estate Planning Group) is comprised of a contrasting mix of age, height and weight, not forgetting abilities!

"It promises to be a great day on Sunday and we are delighted to be raising funds for St George's Crypt, a local charity that helps to provide food, shelter and support to homeless people in Leeds."

"Admission to this weekend's 7-a-side football tournament is available at only £5 for adults and is free for Under 16s. There is also the chance of bumping into a local celebrity or two!"
