Leeds Building Society celebrates 30 years in Watford
Leeds Building Society’s branch in Watford is inviting customers old and new to join it in celebrating a big birthday.
The Society has been helping the people of Watford to save and have the home they want since 1986.
To celebrate its 30th birthday the branch, at 67 The Parade on the High Street, is holding a party on Saturday 1st October between 9am and 1pm.
Leeds Building Society also will be making a birthday donation to three local good causes. Visitors can vote for their favourite charity to decide which receives the largest share.
“Our team will be decorating the branch and giving cakes and goody bags to members and any other locals who want to come by and join in our celebrations,” said Farheen Zafar, Leeds Building Society’s Watford Branch Manager.
“We will also be running a charity vote where customers can vote for one of three local charities. The good causes we have chosen to support are Luton and Dunstable Hospital neonatal unit, DRUM (Disability Recreation Unity Movement) and Hospice of St Francis.
“Voting will open on Saturday and continue until 15th October. The charities will receive £300, £200 and £100 for first, second and third place respectively.”
