Leeds Building Society celebrates 40 years in Cardiff
Leeds Building Society’s branch in Cardiff is inviting customers old and new to join it in celebrating a big birthday.
The Society has been helping the people of Cardiff to save and have the home they want since 1976.
To celebrate its 40th birthday the branch, at 5 St John Street, is holding a party on Friday 25th November at 1pm.
This event will be attended by The Rt. Hon Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Councillor Monica Walsh, whose nominated charity for 2016 is Cancer Research Wales.
Leeds Building Society will be making a birthday donation to three good causes. In addition to Cancer Research Wales, these are Scips Neonatal Clinic at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff and BTRS – Brain Tumour Research and Support across Yorkshire.
Visitors can vote for their favourite charity to decide which receives the largest share.
“Voting will open on Friday and continue until 9th December. The charities will receive £300, £200 and £100 for first, second and third place respectively,” said Paula O’Sullivan, Leeds Building Society’s Cardiff Branch Manager.
“Our team will be decorating the branch and giving cakes and goody bags to members and any other locals who want to come by and join in our celebrations.”
