Leeds Building Society moves to bigger branch in Moortown

Leeds Building Society has a new home in Moortown to offer more space to its growing membership.

The Society’s branch has moved a few doors down from its previous premises in Harrogate Road, into a new, larger branch, which opened today.

There is more space for colleagues and members, with greater numbers of both meeting rooms and counter positions.

The move was in response to member feedback and is intended to improve the experience for customers visiting the branch.

“We were pleased to be able to secure a suitable location which meets our needs, so close to our previous premises,” said Jaedon Green, Leeds Building Society’s Director of Product and Distribution.

“Strong member growth meant we’d become pushed for space in our old branch. As well as the extra room in our new home, we’ve also increased the number of colleagues from 5 FTE to 7.6 so we can offer our customers an even better service.

“Our new Moortown branch demonstrates our commitment to the local community and is the biggest in our national network.

“This year we’ve also opened a new branch in Edinburgh.

“This and the Moortown move demonstrate our branches are integral to our plans for the future and continue to play an important role for us in attracting the savings which enable us to help more people to have the home they want."
