Society donates £1,250 to Marie Curie

Our branches raised £1,250 for Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal by promoting daffodil pin badges last month.

These vital funds will help Marie Curie nurses to provide more free care to people living with terminal illnesses in their own homes across Yorkshire and in the charity’s Bradford hospice.

Siobhan Drane, Partnership Manager at Marie Curie, said: “The Great Daffodil Appeal is our biggest annual fundraising campaign and we’re extremely grateful to Leeds Building Society and their members for their ongoing support.

“A donation of £20 will provide an hour of nursing care to someone living with a terminal illness, so this generous total will help to provide over 62 hours of care to people across Yorkshire.”
