The temporary stamp duty holiday ended on 30 September 2021. You can find the most recent stamp duty threshold information below.


Current stamp duty thresholds

England and Northern Ireland
Any purchases completed from 1 October 2021 will be subject to a stamp duty threshold of £125,000. For first time buyers, no stamp duty is paid on the first £300,000 of a main residential property, even after 1 October.

Wales
The stamp duty threshold for Wales is currently £180,000 for everyone, including first time buyers.

Scotland
The threshold for Land and Buildings Transaction Tax is £145,000 and £175,000 for first time buyers.
